PAUL PEARSON

Paul is Davenport’s Principal/ Managing Director. Originally from Ireland, Paul settled in the Cayman Islands in 2001. He earned a master's Degree in Hospitality Management from Glasgow University, Scotland and has travelled the world running five-star establishments. After Hurricane Ivan in 2004, he joined forces with Ken Thompson to establish Davenport Development Ltd., where he has since been the driving force, creative director and managing director of the company. Paul sits on the Board of the Positive Intervention Now (PIN) programme and is heavily involved with the education of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Paul was also a member of the council of the Chamber of Commerce from 2012-2014.

KEN THOMPSON

Not only is Ken Davenport’s Principal and Director, but he is also a successful businessman, entrepreneur, restaurateur, and real estate investor from the Cayman Islands. He has extensive land holdings in Grand Cayman. The founding member of the Island Taste group of companies, Ken has successfully managed the group for the past 29 years. Ken sits on the Business Staffing Plan Board of Immigration.

JOINT FORCES

Both Ken and Paul are extreme advocates of giving back to the community. To that end, they committed to designing and building a new centre for performing arts for George Town Primary School in 2013. They work very closely with a number of charities, donating not only in funds, but also valuable time for volunteer work in the community. Currently, they are working with Meals-on-Wheels, the Cayman Islands Youth Development Committee, Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Cayman, St. George’s Church ‘Positive Intervention Now’ programme and The Red Cross of the Cayman Islands.
